Things to Know Before Nominating

When you nominate a person or a business, you will be asked to provide information about the nominees’ inclusive hiring practices and advocacy for persons with disabilities in Fraser Valley East communities of:

  • Agassiz
  • Chilliwack
  • Columbia Valley
  • Cultus
  • Deroche
  • Greendale
  • Harrison
  • Hope
  • Sardis
  • Sunshine Valley
  • Yarrow

Please consider the following:

  • All nominees are required to be connected to and/or to be conducting business in one of the above mentioned communities.
  • Nominees must be offering people with diverse abilities paid positions of employment in order to qualify as an Inclusive Employer.
  • Nominees are eligible to win one award in a given year.
  • Award recipients may not be nominated in a subsequent year in the same category, but may be nominated in a different category.
  • Nominees are required to complete a form indicating they accept their nomination and briefly respond as to how they meet the criteria for their award nomination.
  • Partners of the Inclusive Employer Awards Fraser Valley East are not eligible to receive an award.
  • Nomination is not a guarantee of award recognition and that award recipients are determined by the discretion of the Inclusive Employer Awards Selection Committee.
  • The committee’s award decision will remain confidential until the Inclusive Employer Awards event.
